The Knot Colorado

I’m giddy. Like a little schoolgirl. And I’m speechless. Like literally speechless. And trust me, that doesn’t happen very often. The Knot Colorado has featured Katie and Nick’s wedding in their most recent issue.

The magazine arrived on my doorstep this Thursday. I sat on my couch, opened the package, and found the pages. And then the tears started.

It takes a lot for me to be proud of myself. But as I sat on the couch, staring at my name in print, I was swelling with pride. (Oh, and I was squealing, it really was not a pretty sight…) Having a wedding published in a print magazine has been a goal of mine for awhile now, but to have it actually happen is just beyond surreal.

Katie and Nick – Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your day – it was st-u-nn-ing.

Lauren and Ben’s Vail Wedding

Lauren and Ben are proof that a wedding day can be perfect even with all the imperfections that life can bring. Crazy rain, insane mud, and treacherous roads didn’t stop these two lovebirds from having their dream day. Everything was perfect.

I’m going to let the photos tell the story of their day (in what I think is my biggest blog post ever!) Enjoy

Hehe! I love grooms’ reactions when they see their bride for the first time!

One of the sweetest ceremonies I’ve ever been a part of.

Lauren and Ben did something I’ve never seen before during their ceremony. They had their entire family stand and join them at their place for a family prayer. Every one circled around and prayed for the couple together. To see family surround a new married couple like that was just amazing. I love this shot of Lauren and Ben through all of their family members’ embrace.

Ashli + Aaron | Breckenridge Wedding Photographer

Ashli has been one of my best friend since our good ol days in the “Big Yellow House” we lived in together during college. Nights watching the O.C. together, cramming for tests, and non-stop laughter. It was hilarious, and a complete blast, all the time. Now, we’re all grown up, and my Ashli is an RN and getting married to her long-time guy, Aaron. Ash, I couldn’t be happier for you and can’t wait to be a bridesmaid on your big day! Ash is a country girl – like a cowboy-boot, white-cupboard, Miranda-Lambert, country girl. It’s pretty adorable. Her wedding will be a country theme in Breck, so we figured some country props would be more than appropriate!

Whitney + Nate | Tapestry House Wedding Photographer

Whitney and Nate had one of the most emotional weddings I’ve ever attended – and I loved every single second of it. They took their friends, family, and each other through an entire journey of excitement, joy, anticipation, celebration and well, love. It was so amazing to watch, and even better to document. Here are some of my favorites (well, ok, lots of my favorites)

Who knew a light tan-ish beige wedding dress could be SO. STUNNING. Whitney’s dress is one of my favorites of all time

We all know I have an obsession with wedding shoes, and rings, but when I put them together, I go kind of craaaazy!

But they’re just so gorg…

Details, details, details. These two didn’t miss a beat, and THAT’S my type of wedding!

Just before the ceremony, Whitney and Nate exchanged cards with sweet little love notes to each other. The sweetness soon turned into giggles when they both realized they had written nearly identical notes! Guess they’re meant to be

Fresh greenery?
YES PLEASE!

Oh, the details, they just make me so. darn. happy.
